Ten Black Dots

Today we read "Ten Black Dots" by Donald Crews. We learned what different dots could be. For example, two black dots are the eyes of a cat. After listening to the story, each child made their own page for a class book. Right now their pages are on display on our grade level bulletin board in the hallway.

This week, our children have been doing a great job running the morning assembly. Some students were very excited about getting on stage, others were a bit nervous. Nonetheless, everyone who has come to assembly has done a great job! Way to go!

Today was the first day of a Character Education program called Zilker Cares. Two moms in our classroom are teaching the children lessons once a month. Thank you so much, Liz and Helen!
