Science Tools

Today was our first science lesson. We talked about the senses scientists use (seeing, smelling, hearing, touching, and sometimes tasting). Then, we talked about the tools we will use as First Grade Scientists and why we will use each tool. Next, the students were able to explore some tools: safety glasses, hand lenses, pipettes and mixing trays, and test tubes. Finally, they recorded these tools on a recording sheet for their science notebook. We can't wait to use these tools for future experiments!
