Symmetry

This week in math we have been focusing on symmetry. First, we recalled that when something is symmetrical, it's the same on both sides. Then, we learned that there is an imaginary line that cuts a symmetrical item in half called the line of symmetry. We did several activities this week demonstrating our knowledge of symmetry. First, students practiced creating symmetrical pictures. Then, they worked with a partner and one made a picture using manipulatives and then their partner had to create the design on the other side. We will keep working with symmetry next week, too!
