Today we added features to our painted faces. The children added eyes, eyebrows, a nose, a mouth, hair, and more. We should have the finished products hanging in the room early next week. We also created our own version of the book "Lunch." The children each chose a fruit or vegetable, thought of two adjectives that described their food, and then painted a picture of it. We will have this project hanging in our room soon. During word work, we used playdough to spell our weekly words. The children worked on spelling Austin, Texas, Zilker, and their friends' names. We had our first guest reader come today, too. What a fun week!
On Monday, please meet us outside at the Outdoor Learning Center for morning assembly. We be going to the library on Thursday to check out books for the first time and we will be meeting our 4th Grade Buddies on Friday. Have a great weekend and I'll see you all on Monday!
