Turkeys & Roll-a-Turkey

Before Thanksgiving, we did lots of activities that had to do with turkeys, pilgrims, and Native Americans. One activity was "Roll-a-Turkey." The children rolled 2 dice and drew the corresponding parts to create a turkey. They were some very unique looking turkeys. Some children even named their turkeys and wrote about them. Ms. Schiller did a special turkey snack activity with us, too. The children first sorted colored goldfish crackers and then filled 4 fingers of a glove with them (to make the turkey feathers). Then, they filled the rest of the glove with popcorn. The turkeys looked very colorful and tasty. Gobble, gobble!
