Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

On Friday, March 2nd, we celebrated Dr. Seuss' Birthday. All week long we read different books written or inspired by Dr. Seuss. We even read a few that the children weren't familiar with (Hooray for Difendoofer Day! and My Many Colored Days). On Friday, we created riddles by giving three clues that describe a character from one of Dr. Seuss' books. These will be hanging in the hallway for you to come by and read. We played Green Eggs and Ham tic-tac-toe, we made hats and ribbons and had our pictures taken while we held up our favorite book, we recorded as many words as we could think of in the -at family, and much more! When we got together with our 4th Grade Buddies, we made miniature Cat in the Hats by tearing black and red paper and gluing them down. They were very cute! We LOVE Dr. Seuss!
