Scientist of the Week- Lemon Battery
Today our Scientist of the Week taught us how to make a battery out of a lemon. She inserted a penny and a nickel into a lemon. Then, she added two pieces of wire, one next to each coin. She put the other end of each wire on her tongue and it made her tongue tingle. She explained that the acid in the lemon and the different metals in the coins created electricity. Wow!
