Paper Folding

Today we folded paper with Ms. Darling in Science. We took a piece of paper and kept folding it in half until we couldn't fold it any longer. Boy were we surprised to see so many rectangles on our paper when we opened it up. Then we used the different types of paper that we used yesterday and we experimented to find out which paper was easy to fold, and which was hard to fold.

We worked on the -ick sound and the /i/ sound during Shared Reading. We also learned the October song. It's sung to the tune of Clementine. It goes like this:
Spell October,
Spell October,
Spell October now with me.
O-C-T-O-B-E-R
O-C-T-O-B-E-R.
