Today we learned about air. Our scientist showed us how to make a gyrocopter using a ruler, paper, a paperclip, and scissors. First he cut out a pattern that was drawn on construction paper. Then he folded the flaps. He put a paperclip on the last flap. Then, he stood up high and dropped the gyrocopter. It flew down smooth to the ground like a helicopter. He taught us that the air pushes against the wings and makes them spin. Cool!
