Scientist of the Week- Oil Bubbles
Today our scientist made bubbles using water, oil, and salt. She filled a pickle jar with water almost to the top. Then, she added 2 inches of oil. Next, she added 3-4 tablespoons of salt. We watched and saw bubbles! When she added the salt, it brought down some of the oil with it. When the salt dissolved, the oil floated back up as a bubble. It reminded us of a lava lamp. It was cool!
