Sawdust, Wood Shavings, & Water

Yesterday we reviewed sawdust and wood shavings. We predicted what would happen if we added them to a cup of water. We added a small amount, observed, and recorded what we saw. Today we learned how to separate the water from the waterlogged wood. We used screens to separate them. It was fun watching the water go through the screen, leaving the pieces of sawdust and wood shavings.
