Today's science question was "Can you change the shape of wood?" The children all agreed--YES! We drew pictures of what our piece of basswood looked like before we sanded it and afterward. We talked about which techniques worked the best with the sandpaper. The children were intrigued with the amount of wood dust we accumulated.
